Sindhri mango, often referred to as the “Queen of Mangoes”, is one of the most popular and commercially important mango varieties of Pakistan, particularly grown in the Sindh (Mirpurkhas, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad )and also in southern Punjab mainly in Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan. It is known for its early arrival, large size, and smooth, sweet taste, making it a favorite in both local and export markets.

    Origin

    It originated in the Sindh province and is now extensively cultivated in Punjab as well. It is among Pakistan’s oldest and most export-focused mango varieties.

    Season Early-season variety. Begins ripening in late May, peaking in early to mid-June, ahead of most other premium varieties.
    Size & Shape Large-sized mangoes, usually 350–500 grams. Oval or oblong shape with slightly pointed ends and a smooth surface.
    Color Bright lemon-yellow skin when ripe, sometimes with a greenish hue. The pulp is deep yellow, soft, and juicy.
    Taste Sweet, slightly tangy, with a mild aroma. Flavor is clean and refreshing, not overly complex, making it easy to enjoy.
    Eating Quality Smooth and fiberless pulp, very juicy. Best enjoyed sliced or as pulp in juices, milkshakes, and desserts. Also eaten as fresh fruit.
